
Singer James Blunt performed live at the Forum de Beirut Saturday February 28th 2009, making another memorable evening to the Lebanese music lovers. We had all been impatiently waiting for this concert. Tickets were on sale since October 2008 and were rapidly sold out. Blunt enchanted the crowd with “No Bravery”, "Wise men" and his latest songs.

He told reporters about his concert in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Beirut</st1:place></st1:City> that he was glad they saved the best for the last. “I am honored to sing in your country”, he added. “I’ve heard a lot about your history during my childhood”.

Blunt is now performing at the Palais des Sports in <st1:City w:st="on">Kiev</st1:City>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Ukraine</st1:country-region> and will be headed to <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Athens</st1:place></st1:City> on March 7th ending his European tour that started February 12.

Blunt was an officer in the Life Guards of the British Army and has served in Kosovo in the conflict of 1999. He left the army in 2002 and dedicated himself to music. He has been raising funds for “Doctors Without Borders” through benefit concerts and auctions during his own shows.

James Blunt has already sold 11 million records worldwide. His albums went number 1 in 18 countries. He has already been awarded 2 Brit and MTV awards and was nominated for 5 Grammys. His debut albums Back to Bedlam and All the Lost Souls made a huge success in the past two years. His single “You’re beautiful” hit the top of the American charts.
