A new day sets on Beirut after a thunderous and windy night. Clouds at the horizon, rain pouring down, soaked trees, empty roads..A divine masterpiece on this 24th day of December, where sweet memories arise and where some beautiful chain seems to link everyone to everyone. Time stops and we all smile at each other, overwhelmed by the charm of this holiday, also remembering all the weight of the world but with a smile on our faces.
Christmas in Lebanon is a blessed time where all families gather and reunite.. Family members that are living abroad come home to spend the holiday with their loved ones. Unfortunately, some can't make it home. This is when we miss them the most. Let's hope someday eveyone comes back for good. There is no possible way to be Lebanese and not want to come back home.
Someone once said that everytime we love and everytime we give, it's Christmas. Loving is giving and giving is Christmas. Giving to everyone. You can always find something. Love, friendship, forgiveness, tolerance, care...You never run out of things to give away. And there is nothing in this world as beautiful as giving. I want to wish everyone a merry merry christmas, and may all you wishes come true this year.
